Crowe advises VALEARA on the acquisition of the DRK clinics in Worms, Bad Kreuznach and Bad Neuenahr/Daun

Advisory

Crowe BPG advised VALEARA, a leading provider of psychiatric and neurological care, on the acquisition of the DRK clinics in Worms, Bad Kreuznach and Bad Neuenahr/Daun. The facilities are psychiatric specialist and day clinics of the German Red Cross (DRK) in Rhineland-Palatinate. Each of the facilities also has a psychiatric outpatient clinic (PIA). The locations in Worms and Bad Kreuznach focus on the psychiatric treatment of adults; the Bad Neuenahr/Daun location focuses on children and adolescents.

This will secure the future of the three clinics. With the takeover by Valeara from June 1, regular patient operations can continue without restriction. In addition, the employment contracts of the employees will be transferred to Valeara as part of the change of ownership. A total of almost 180 staff are employed at the three clinics (32 in Worms, 33 in Bad Kreuznach and 121 in Bad Neuenahr/Daun).

Valeara is a provider of healthcare services in the fields of psychiatry, neurology and psychotherapy with seven locations in Germany. With the clinics in Bad Neuenahr/ Daun, Worms and Bad Kreuznach, further locations with specialties that fit very well with Valeara's many years of expertise are now being added.

The Crowe BPG team (crowe-bpg.de), which was responsible for the financial due diligence, consisted of Andreas Hoffmann, WP and Partner (overall management), and Martin Brinkfort (Senior Manager).
